Unveiling the cover to chapter 26, one that might be a little unique. I finally decided to go with the blocking of the logo. This is because this chapter actually won’t feature much of Kalwa herself save for the opening. Rather this chapter focuses more on the trio you see here, namely on Zack who is seen the back.
Chapter 26 will start very soon, Ryan is finishing up the script and soon it will be back to me pretty soon. I’ll give you all an update once the actual chapter starts. Meanwhile enjoy the cover!
Hello everyone and happy last Monday of February, and today I’m NOT going to waste your time. Both pages for chapter 25 are complete and I don’t want to drag this out, so today I’m posting a DOUBLE page update and giving you the final two pages of Chapter 25 all at once today.
Now it’s time for some major updates. I’m MOVING, yes moving… to a new place. I’m finally getting my own apartment after all these years and this is a major change for me.
Without going into full details the years have really changed. When this comic had just started in 2014 I was just out of college, and working a part time job. Then I moved to a new state and got another part time job. Shortly after that, things went south. Getting steady pay was hard, we were still struggling to get this project up in the air, and then the pandemic. I got real depressed, and fell on real hard times, working on this comic series was the only thing I really enjoyed in life and I was struggling with the realities of being a struggling artist. Then last year I finally got a full time job, and over the course of time kinda recovered from the depressing time of my life. I’ve been working to improve my craft and have found pure joy in what what I do, better than I ever had before.
Family relations have gotten better and I’m SO MUCH happier than I was years ago, and now I’m finally getting out into the world ready to embark on my own journey and life.
So that being said, now I really WANT to do some serious work and more with Kalwa and the rest of Green Raptor Studios in my journey of life. We are going to publish the first volume, we are looking at summer, this time for real. I just need to update the fifth chapter, put some extras together and get some more goodies in there. All of that has been on my plans, but first I’ve had to pack up and get ready for the move. My primary concern was to finish chapter 25 before the move so I don’t leave anything hanging before I have to unload and move into the new house.
I’m also planning to get back on webtoons. The current Kalwa comic I don’t think will work well on Webtoons, but I have a gag comic called Kid Kalwa planned to go. More on that later. For the next few weeks, I’ll mostly be busy setting up the new house. However I will still be putting out artwork along with sketches and some behind the scenes work. I’ll do my best to keep everyone updated on when you can expect the next chapter and what’s coming out. So that’s what I just wanted to get out as well as thank everyone who follows this site and gives support. It all goes a long way and really shows me and my co-writer that our work is appreciated. My feeling is much like Kalwa’s smiling face down below.
So all that done, click the thumb down below and enjoy the remainder of chapter 25.
I’m here today to share some fan art I’ve received involving Kalwa. I’m always so flattered when I see someone drawing my characters as it shows there are people out there who really appreciate all the hard work me and my co-writer do each and every chapter.
Just yesterday I received a fan art via facebook from Cat Country Studios, which involved Kalwa crossed over with his own character Riley. The instant sight sent my hear a flutter, Cat Country Studio has been a major supporter this year on facebook and I myself enjoy their artwork. So I’m sharing the art right here on my site to help give them some better exposure. I’ve also got a fan art down below I received I think two years ago from another friend on facebook. It was a more personal account, so I don’t want to just blab it, but I still really love it a lot.
Happy Monday everyone, and a happy time to be alive. As promised yesterday, a new page is up for chapter 24 for your viewing pleasure. This is quite an exciting moment right here, because we’ve got some CHARACTER BACKSTORY going on here. One of my main goals since starting this arch and going forward is getting more character development out there. I’m really a real deep thinker when it comes to my characters and I’ve felt that earlier chapters didn’t quite develop all the characters the way I wanted, so it’s a new goal going forward from now on. So check out what we got by clicking the thumbnail below.
Just a little project I threw together over the last few days. This was kinda a piece to practice curves, and was inspired both by some pin ups from W.I.T.C.H. and an AMV on youtube I’ve been obsessed with all week tuned to the song Move like Jagers. Initially I was gonna gonna draw Kalwa in a bunny costume, but the original drawing was just not working out an I deleted it knowing I wouldn’t want to work on it anymore, thus we landed here.
Happy Wednesday everyone, hope you’re all staying nice and safe. As you keep yourself safe, we got a brand new page for you today as we update with the THIRD FROM LAST page of this chapter. This page, we introduce a rather dark and formidable opponent who will be playing a large role throughout the rest of this arch. As usual, click the thumbnail below and check out what we got in store today.
New page is finished and up right now for your entertainment. This one was pretty fun to work on with the really big shot which you’ll see in just a bit. As usual, click the thumbnail below to see the newest page.
New character illustration of Thomas, the detective that Kalwa encounters during the white chapel arch. The character was hired by the police in order to track down the Jack the Ripper Killer. However it’s later revealed that he was actually hired simply because of his jewish heritage as the police were attempting to appeal to the jewish community and show that they really did care for them. Despite the fact that he doesn’t actually solve the case by himself, he does get to play the hero by saving a woman from a violent jewish bigot, and he he also accompanies the police to the Victor’s lair where he’s able to comfort Kalwa after her horrible encounter with Victor.
More on the character can be found in the Whitechappel Arch starting in chapter 16!
A new page is up and going today everybody, sorry for the later ind day posting. But I wanted to have a good bit of time to go over before posting. As usual, click the thumbnail below to view the newest page.
