Update and Summer vibes

So I know it has been quiet around here lately. The reason is that I’ll be debuting the FIRST Kalwa books, and Amber, at Tuscan Comic Con this September and I’ve spent the last two months prepping stuff. Everything for the convention has been sent to the printers and I’m waiting for the final details on placement. Plus my day job has been a bit busy, especially with deliveries in the hot heat that Arizona has been having (if you lived here you’d know what I mean) has left me drained. So everything has kinda been on hold. We are now finally ready to resume work, and chapter 28 is being written. I’m working to have it written and roughed before the convention, I’ll give more details on that in the near future.

For now, here’s a new summer drawing of Kalwa doing some modeling. Hot as it is, I’ve still been trying to enjoy the summer vibes, hard as it is. This was originally a lunchtime sketch that I decided to color. Hope you enjoy it and have a good summer, what’s left of it anyway.

Keijo Kalwa Double Feature

We’re on break for page updates but we can still show of some fun art. Here’s a double feature of some stuff on my desktop for a while. Kalwa’s dressed up and ready to play some Keijo. For those not familiar, Keijo is a fictional women only sport featured in the anime of the same name. Players attempt to knock each other off a floating platform using nothing but their breasts and butts. The anime is kinda a scientific breakthrough, combing a suspenseful sports story with pure fan service.

So we got Kalwa in a training swimsuit for the sport and and a full on match with Ella, hopefully they got the strong enough butts for it.

Wardrobe MAlfunction

A lunchtime sketch made into a full on digital drawing. The Desert Vixens from the Western arc attempting to put on a swimsuit photoshoot, only everything is going completely wrong. Also in case this drawing doesn’t make it obvious, Cassidy is not at all bothered by concept of nudity. Little tide over as we wait for chapter 27, which I remind everyone starts on Monday.

Summer 2022

As is an annual tradition, we always upload a summer themed pinup here on the first day of summer. This year is a bit different, Kalwa’s not just showing off her swimsuit, but she’s accompanied by Zack and Reko. Here’s to another summer and may this year be filled with joy and adventure!

ARTWORK ROUNDUP: JAPAN ARCH

Rounding up all the artwork done though out the course of the Japan arch. This of course does not include covers, just pinups of characters and some promo art. I’ll probably be doing a sequel post once the Japan arch is all wrapped up since the will be even more to add.

Just also realized that Suzume doesn’t have an art work here, guess I’ll have to make one of her. Also I would like to another piece of her with Izuha and Kalwa since the three of them are becoming a trio!

Christmas 2021

Merry Christmas Eve everybody. Another year and we are here, and we’re doing better than ever. I like to think of December as the reflection time of the year and the transition to the next chapter of life. Christmas you see friends and family, reflect on all you did this year and give presents and feast together. Then you recharge and move on to the next year ready for the next chapter in life. So needless to say I love Christmas, and this year in particular has been really special given all that has happened, one of which is this very site. We’ve been discovered by more fans, supporters and friends who have been so kind, and every year the number grows to which I am so thankful.

So that’s enough of my soap box, here’s this years Christmas illustration. Yes, I watched a lot of TV with commercials involving pop songs, red and everything else. So I was inspired to draw Kalwa in a red red dress singing a song. Anyone care to guess what she’s singing?

Merry Christmas to all!

Summer 2021

The script for chapter 24 is finished, I just sent it to my co-writer yesterday for review, so I’m just waiting for it to come back before officially rolling. But in the meantime, I’m rolling out the annual summertime piece, I know we’re a little off from the first official day of summer, but I just wanted to draw it. So here’s this year’s illustration. I think I’ll try do a few more as the summer goes on, moving a bit away from the beach theme.
