A colored page from the sketchbook just for Halloween. The original sketch was posted to the Kalwa facebook page earlier this month, but here on the website you’re getting the colored version of our three protagonists… ZOMBIFIED!!!!! Yeah, can we deny that Zombies are cool? Of course not. So for this special month of horror, enjoy our three heroes like you’ve never seen before.
Sharing a bit of behind the scenes work today. So while attending Tuscan Comic Con, I got a little note that my characters all wore similar clothing, and it was a bit hard to tell them apart at times. The specific moment was more about the opening training battle between Kalwa and Suzume from chapter 26, however while drawing the last page of that chapter I realized that Zack and Kalwa do wear the same outfit. While they are different colors, this is mostly irrelevant on black and white manga.
So I’m looking at an outfit mixup to make them more distinguishable from a certain distance. I still want to keep the hoodies since those are kinda a signature for my characters, but give them a little more skin so they can engage in combat and do some “better” adventuring. I don’t have it pictured here yet, but I’m planning on giving Zack some kind of utility belt/fanny pack or something. These two will soon be embarking on some more serious adventures and will need supplies, you’ll see why in about three more chapters.
Once again it’s Halloween time, and Kalwa’s dressing up this year as Kohaku from Dr.Stone. More Halloween fun is on the way this year so stick around!!!!
In case nobody has noticed, it’s October and here at Green Raptor Studios we love Halloween. And every year I try to embrace that Halloween fun with both Kalwa and other Green Raptor characters and drawings. Yes we got some Halloween fun this year for Kalwa, but for right now, here’s a little reflection of past year fun… and I also just noticed that Kalwa really likes to dress as witches!
And we’ve come to the end once again everyone, yet another milestone and another chapter has concluded today. Today we’re giving you a DOUBLE page upload today to wrap up chapter 26. This chapter was a bit of a long one for me cause there was LOT going on behind the scenes, I attended a con, my mother’s birthday was going on with a special art I did for her, and of course a shift in schedule at the day job. But we DID it and we completed another chapter to this story. We will take a small break from chapters, but you can look forward to some HALLOWEEN fun coming from Kalwa and Green Raptor Studios this coming month. Brand new page for is up for chapter 26, which means we only have two more pages left on this chapter. As such we will be doing a DOUBLE page update on Wednesday to bring this chapter to a close. We’ll be taking a small break as we rest and prep chapter 27 which will be a BIG chapter for the overall story. However October is coming up, which means we’ll be bringing out some Halloween fun! Sorry everyone, some things came up this week which prevented me from finishing today’s page, mostly family celebrations. As such, we will be on break Today.
