Kaliesha Character Art
It’s another character art today, this is time it’s Kaliesha who originally debuted in chapter 12, introduced as the secret captain of the pirate hunters. She’s also a single mother who’s is highly protective of her children Amoy and Akoni. Kaliesha herself was actually based off an old boss I had who was a hardworker with a kid of her own. I’d watch her attend to both her job and her kid, and I had such great respect for her. When we were writing the pirate story arch, Kaliesha was the first character I came up with, though it was my co-writer who named her and all of her crewmates.
The flames were a last minute choice, I kinda developed them after I was playing around with the shadow and started getting a red hue. I thought the intense flames would help to emphasize her protective mother side and just how strong a character she is when it comes to protecting her kids.

Kalwa Rising Sun
A little piece to help kick off the Japanese story arch!!! This will actually be used as the profile picture for the facebook page hence why it was important to have the Pygota with the rising sun, which was actually meant to be a symbol for the country she’s in given the famous rising sun flag.
Chapter 23 IS LIVE!!!
Happy New Years everyone, hope everyone is as happy as me to be free from the horrible year of 2020. It’s a brand new year, time for new beginnings and new goals and (hopefully) new ways of life. As I said earlier, this New Years Day is the big debut. Chapter 23 is now live at this very moment and thus begins the Feudal Japan story arch, which I promise will be quite the impactful story as it will be introducing a number of characters and plot lines that will be playing an overall major part in the overall Kalwa story. We currently got the first two pages up on the website right now. You can tune in by click one of the thumbnails below, the first one will take you to the front cover, or if you just want to dive straight in, the second will take you right to the first page. And remember to keep checking back for more updates all this month.
Chapter 23 update!
I got the script back from my co-writer on Christmas Day and we are officially set to start up chapter 23. I think I posted the cover a few months ago, but here’s a wip of the first page, minus the dialogue. I’m pleased to announce that chapter 23 will officially debut on New Year’s Day this year, with a two page debut. This first page has actually already been completed and the next page is already being started.
Without going into too many spoilers, this next chapter will start a new story arch set in Feudal Japan, with Kalwa and Zack both learning to get back on ones feet, namely on Kalwa’s end. Well be introducing some new characters who will actually be having quite the impact on the overall story, show off some fighting styles and hopefully give some readers a bit of insight on what life was like in the feudal days of Japan. We’re also going to be tying off a little plot thread that’s been wondering around for quite some time which is what you’re starting to see here. So join us on New Year’s Day as we proudly debut the next story arch in this saga!
Merry Christmas 2020!!!
Merry Christmas everyone from Kalwa and the rest of Green Raptor Studios, and I’d also like to give thanks to everyone who has followed, liked or even just tuned into this website. This was quite a year for everyone, myself included, but not in the way anyone expected. This terrible virus has completely engulfed the world, and many of use have been stuck inside this whole year. I myself intended to do more out in the world this year but all of that came crashing down as this virus came ravaging the land all over. However despite these hard times, I have noticed a spike for both this website and the Green Raptor Studios website, followers have gone up, views are becoming more frequent and I like to think that the content this website produces has played at least some kind of role in getting people through this tough time we are all going through. So from me to you, I thank everyone who has given their support to the work we produce here at Green Raptor Studios and hope you’ll all be with use for years to come. For there will be more content next year with more stories and artwork.
First and foremost will be the upcoming Feudal Japan story arch which I’ve been advertising on the sidelines a bit as of recently. The script to the first chapter has been completed and I’m just waiting for my co-writer to get it back to me. There’s also some cool artwork revolving around that as well as some more sketch work and behind the scenes work which I’ll be publishing when I get to the scanner. But more importantly, there will hopefully be more outings next year as we all pull ourselves through this tough time, stay strong and stay safe everyone!!!!
Victor Slaying
I’ve been trying to branch out a little bit and do more illustrations of other characters other than just Kalwa herself, I first started with Toshiro and Miki a few weeks ago. So right now I’m bringing you Victor, the “original” Jack the Ripper killer who first encountered Kalwa in chapter 18 before mentally scarring her in the next chapter. I actually really felt like doing this drawing now at a time when the weather was cold, as the original Whitechappel murders happened around winter time. Even though the final one was in early November, Whitechappel was on edge throughout the Christmas season, so I was hoping to replicate a little of that feeling this season with this image right here. I had actually been watching the 1984 version of a Christmas Carol and took a lot of inspiration from the atmosphere created by the Ghost of Christmas Future, it’s how I decided to give a chilling atmosphere to this piece.
An adventurous manga series about a teenage girl and her time traveling cell phone
