Thanks all for waiting, I just was so busy last night and couldn’t give good judgement to this page before uploading it. So I wanted to come in fresh and ready to upload the next day. Anyway, the new page is up right now, as usual, click the thumbnail to see the new page!

The new page is finished, but I got it done real late last night and and was just too tired to really judge it properly, and I don’t like to put anything up till I’m satisfied. So the new page will be going up later tonight after I get home from work, see you all then.

My internet has been giving me some major problems lately, and I got a little swamped yesterday after I left my mouse to charge. But we are back on with yet another page entry in chapter 23, we’re now officially up to page 10, which means we are nearly at the halfway point of this chapter. It’s been a pretty good week for me, getting out two pages without much hassle. This particular one took a bit of craft to give a certain type of feeling. As I’ve mentioned on social media, I try to craft these pages in a certain way that single panel comic sites would not be able to replicate, in this case there is a point where I try to illustrate a sense of interruption. Page from the chapter 20 featuring the Kalwa and Ella squaring off in a cellphone throwing contest. A major purpose of chapter 20 was to explore… Finland. For me personally, family on my fathers side comes from Finland and that was inspiration for making a Finland based comic. However, only since making this comic have I actually discovered some of Finnish culture, as well as other cultures while making this comic series. It’s actually part of the fun of making this comic.
Anyway, this particular page was a play on motion, indicated by the phone flying thorough the panels. Looking back on this page, I wonder what I could do with the motion if I drew this page today, especially given the newest page that was uploaded yesterday. Perhaps I’ll be making some edits when this page sees publication in paper back.

I’m so sorry for the long wait between pages, there was a bit of excitement going on last week in my life with other projects and other parts of life and I just didn’t have much time to work on pages. Sorry it’s a little late in the day, I kinda slept in today, had other work to do around the house and wanted to spend some extra time to work on quality. So anyway, we got a new page up for chapter 23 and I’m kinda on a sugar rush working on it. As this chapter has a lot of emphasis on motion, I’ve been practicing to get a lot of motion and intensity into various scenes. I’ve actually been using my Naruto books as reference for line work and other effects. That beings said, I’m really loving working on this chapter, I feel like I’m really working on an action styled comic and this is years of practice really working it’s magic as of now. Page from chapter 20 where Kalwa visits her first nude beach. It’s a little funny because every time I touch on nude beaches with Kalwa I always get some kind of praise for acknowledging Finnish Culture. I had originally touched on this subject for one of the young Kalwa mini comics and even though it was played as a joke, people were thrilled that I was addressing it. I’m really not obsessed with nude beaches, they are just a basic European piece of culture different from america.
